Making Meat (as Trevor would call it) is what him and Jon had been doing the past couple of nights. Since hunting season is right around the corner Jon thought it was time to clean out the freezer and to make some jerky, deer sticks, summer sausage and ground hamburger. I went to Hy-Vee and bought 10 pounds of burger and he is mixing 10 pounds of game burger in so we will have 20 pounds of half and half burger. If you ask me it is time or chili, soups and casserole's.
Over the years Jon has gotten a grinder and vac sealer for Christmas and man did he put those items to use. The grinder also was used to make the deer sticks and summer sausage by putting the meat into casings so he could cook them in the oven.

Today we got a call from our daycare provider and she is now sick with the flu. It is a good thing all of this did not happen last week or I really would of been in trouble with Jon gone. So today Jon and Trevor are home doing who knows what. Trevor wanted to build walls and work in the basement but Jon knows its more work with him around trying to help with everything so we will have to see what they get into!!
Alright so for Halloween once Trevor got his costume on he would not let me take any pictures. He would refuse and just walk away and you know me I need pictures of everything so this made me mad. So I thought well once Jon gets home he can distract him and I will be able to get some pictures, well this did not happen. Although I did get one good picture of my boys and I love it so much I set it as my screen saver on my computer at work. The funny part to all of this is you are probably wondering why Trevor looks like he is trying to grab something, well you are right he is!! I held a candy bar and said "Trevor look at what mommy has" and this was the only way I could get a somewhat decent picture. And every time I look at it I start laughing all over again because I know what is really going on behind the scenes.
Well here is another video of my son doing his thing. Jon and Trevor came up with a dance called the Dooo Da Dance....and well I caught them both doing it in the garage one night. As you can see Trevor does his thing and then when Jon starts Trevor stops and wants nothing to do with it.....the more I watch this the harder I laugh.
I love this photo of Jon and Trevor!! It was taken this week when we went over to help my mom and dad get things moved into their new home. They had big boxes everywhere and Trevor thought it was fun to climb in them and pretend like it was a fort. When Jon came out to take a break Trevor said "daddy come on" so Jon climbed in and Trevor thought that was so cool and said "Wow daddy Wow"!
I took this picture on Sunday after we got home from our wild weekend. Jon and Trevor layed on the couch most of the day. I just thought this picture was so cute and wanted to share....have a good day!
