Happy Halloween!!

Well I want to wish everyone a Happy Halloween!! I am sure most of you are excited about going trick or treating or just passing out candy! Trevor does not know what to think, this past week we have been trying to teach him to say "Trick or Treat" sometimes he will say and others he will not. We will have to see what happens tonight!

I other thing I wanted to comment on was the South Dakota wind. I posted a blog at the beginning of the week talking about all the leaves that we now have. Well after a windy night and that is no longer a problem take a look at the before and after pictures. At least there is one good thing about the wind.....right?

Helping Daddy

Last night we finished up a couple of things in the house such as putting up trim work and fixing a door. Trevor was all about helping daddy with this so when it was time to fix things in his room Jon let him hold the nail gun and boy did Trevor feel proud. (Can you tell) He was so talented that he even held his cup at the same time.

Leaves, Leaves and More Leaves!

So this weekend we got all moved in and spent out first night in our new home on Friday night! It feels good to be all moved in but there is still tons of unpacking to do.

The last home that we owned was in a new construction development so there were hardly any trees and so because of that we have never experienced any raking or mowing up leaves. Well that is no longer the case in our new home. The temperature got pretty low on Saturday night so by Sunday every leave in town was on our yard. There were so many leaves that you could not tell where are driveway was. The upside to this was Trevor had a blast scooping them into a big pile and then jumping in them. He would also ride his bike and say "mommy now where do I go" because you could not see the driveway. I took some pictures of the little squirt having some fun yesterday and I also took pictures of the big trees around us causing all the trouble.

All Done

Well it is great to say we are all done with the remodel on the ML of our new home. Jon and I are very happy with the finished product. Today I will post before and after pictures of the 3rd bedroom on the ML and that will be our office and then I will post pictures of our new kitchen and we just LOVE.....thanks to my brother Greg!! I will start with the office:

• New Paint


• New Wood Blinds
  
• New Floor Vents


• New Outlets and Covers
  
• New Light Fixture (not yet installed)

Next for the kitchen, WOW we did a lot in this room. We replaced all the flooring and added new ceramic tile. We came up with a design that we liked and then Greg made it all happen and we love the way it turned out. Then we decided to get more aggressive and add matching tile back splash, the tile that was up there was all right but why not do it right the first time as Jon would say. Here is what else we did:

• New paint (holy crap this room was HARD to paint, THANKS for your help Kelsi)


• New wood blinds (not yet up)


• New ceiling fan


• New outlets and covers


• Since we put new flooring in we had to cut back all the old trim since the flooring raised a little.


• We are in the process of deciding what to do about new appliances (defiantly need a new dishwasher)
