88 Minutes

Not much going on this week, last week was Hobo Days so everyone is tired and crabby this week most students are still hung over. My boss gave us Monday off since there is no school and I am pumped 3 day weekend here we come, this is a one in a million thing around here people!

Since it gets dark early at night and it is getting colder we are inside a lot more now which means we watch a lot of movies and last night we watched 88 minutes and it was really good. Make sure to fast forward the first 10 minutes not something you want to see but other then that good movie.

Hobo Days

Hobo Days have been all week and I have not written anything about it, that may be because all the events I will attend are happening tomorrow. Of course they are having the big parade again this year and the 2pm football game. Every year I am interested in the theme that they choose and the last couple just were dumb and this year is not much better. The theme they picked was "Hobos get Physical", whatever! If you are around Brookings this weekend try to partake in at least something.

I am also going to leave you with a funny for your Friday afternoon. Two nights ago Trevor was helping Jon clean Mydland's kennel and they gave him fresh water and food and Trevor was so mad when it was time to go in but he did. Jon was going to hop into the shower and Trevor decided he wanted to take a shower too so they got undressed and Jon was pulling Trevor's pants off and he said "oh look Trevor you have dog food in your pants" he picked it up but it was NOT dog food!!!! He was gagging and I was laughing so hard I could not breathe!!

Big Day

Today is not only a big day but also a big deal it is picture day at school!!! We practiced last night at home what he should do when his teacher Ms Kelly tells him to smile. I am nervous since I will not be there to see how things go but I am sure he will do fine. This morning he said "mom do not worry I will go like this"

He is waving in this photo.....Jen he looks like you!

Now I am worried!!!

Water

In our old house we installed a underground sprinker system and we loved it. Our grass was always green but the flipside was it always had to be mowed and the system had to get cleaned out every fall and on and on. Well since we have moved into our new home with no spriker system I have had to mow less but our yard has not always looked the best either. At first I missed not having the perfect green yard but then it was nice on those weeks on end without rain that I did not have to mow. Over the past week or so we have gotten enough rain to green up our yard again and it is coming back to shape. Jon has been pulling weeds like crazy the past 2 days by hand. So last night I got out the mower and bagged the whole yard while Jon finished pulling weeds and weedeating. The overall finished product is awesome, our yard looks awesome. The moral of my story is you do not have to have a sprinker system to have a nice yard and look at all the water that you save.

Thanks for visiting Healy Happenings and come back soon!
