Is it normal for a 4 year old to run around naked only wearing slippers??? Last night Trevor took a bath and after he got out he put only his slippers on......he spent the rest of the night playing like normal only naked. The following pictures I took when he was digging through his toy box! The first 2 pictures he had no clue and then he found out and of course smiled big!!
Trevor is at that age where he does not want to take naps but the fact of the matter is: he needs them most days! He does not like going to daycare because he has to lay down for rest time and most days falls asleep. Well on the weekend we no longer push for him to have a nap, we just send him to bed earlier! Well last Sunday he did not take a nap but was VERY crabby by late afternoon, we had him go to his room to watch tv at 6pm and by 6:15pm he was fast asleep!
Today is Trevor's first day of school!! How exciting!! Since we where in the Cities on Mon and Wed and Mon was his actually first day and he missed it so we are celebrating today! He was very excited to meet new friends and to get to know his new teacher.
Right before he left he was walking out the door and he said "don't be sad mom, I will be back in a little bit".
This may be his last year of preschool if we decide to sent him to kindergarden next year!
So in being up in the Cities for a week and making many trips to Home Depot to get stuff for the remodel Trevor just made our day with a funny moment. Yesterday Jen and I went with both boys to get a list of things and Trevor was getting out of the car and said "I like going to the Homo Depoto" we both could do nothing but laugh.....kids you gotta love them!
Trevor got a big boy bike last year for his birthday from my mom and dad and he is FINALLY big enough to ride it. Last year his feet did not even touch the pedals and now he rides around like a wild man!! The one thing he has to get used to is when the pedals go backwards that means the breaks are on and he does not get that yet and gets mad that he stops. Trevor has completed his first year of preschool!! Yesterday was his last day and it is very hard to believe. Next year he will go on M, W, F since this year it was Tues and Thurs. Then its off to kindergarden, wow how the time flys.
Everyone knows that Trevor's party is soon among us so I am telling everyone to mark there calendars for June 20th to help us come and celebrate Trevor's birthday. Every year I take him to get his pictures professionaly done but this year since the baby will be here in July I wanted to wait and take them with the baby. So tonight I ventured out to take his photos myself and they turned our really well, I am very happy with them. I am also in the process of making his invite myself with a computer program but until you can see it I have decided to post a few photos to give you an idea of what we did.
Yesterday was a very nice day out, it is hard to believe that we went from 60 degrees and very windy to 88 degrees and no wind. So after Jon was done mowing the lawn last night I turned the sprinkler on since we seeded some spots in our yard and guess who thought it would be fun to get wet????
He is thinking hard about his next move!!
Tonight my grandparents stopped over to give Trevor his Easter present and he loves it!!!! They gave him a new John Deere tractor, he has not let that thing out of his sight yet!
