Trucks & Tractors
As all of you all may know Trevor just loves anything with a big machine! He will just sit and stare if there is anything in the form of a big truck or tractor. Every time we go over to my mom and dad's he will look out the window and say "bapa's truck, vurmmm" since my dad works with tractors and trucks everyday there are a lot of them around the farm. Anytime we go over to Dennis and Diane's house and he hears a big truck going by he will run to the window and want to see the big trucks go by, it is just hilarious! For a kid who is not even 2 he has the best hearing I know. Well Saturday night after the big party we stayed at my mom and dad's house and Sunday morning my dad had to get up and go blow snow with his TRACTOR blower. Oh my gosh this was a big deal, all Trevor could say was "WOW mommy look at bapa". So we got Trevor all suited up and outside to help my dad blow snow in the tractor, he thought he was in heaven! I took a picture because it was so cute! It is just amazing to me how much he loves trucks and tractors, every night before bedtime we have to read his truck book (most of the time we read it more then twice).

The Party!
Well as most of you already know the party was a huge success!! All three of the stooges were suprised, Diane and Dennis had no idea about the party at all and Jon knew about the party but did not know that it was for him. We had a really good turn out, according to my count we went through 150 BBQ's and the keg went dry by 11pm so that means lots of people showed up. I feel so bad that a lot of the family could not make it, Jennifer and I have been planning this for over a year and we even sent out the invites a month ahead of time so people would know and arrange their schedules to make it. Who would of thought that after all of our hard work planning and making sure things were perfect that we would have the biggest snow storm of the year on the night of the party?? Because of this Jennifer was also not able to make it, she had to go through all the trouble of canceling her flight after all this time of planning. Even though the weather sucked I was still very happy that we were able to pull this whole thing off. Let me tell you, it was very hard to do!! Not being able to talk to Jon about everything that was going on was the hardest since I was so excited and worry at the same time. But overall it was a blast and I will post some pictures for all of you to see in case you missed it.

The Present
Well last night was a wild one, my mom and dad came over to Brookings to watch Trevor since he had not been feeling well so Jon and I could go to Sioux Falls to pick up some things that we have been meaning to get and also I wanted to pick up Jon's birthday present. This whole present idea came along about 6 months ago (hunting season) when we were in Scheels and Jon was in one of his moods, he was pointing out everything that he wanted to have some day. So I was taking a mental note the whole time and the next time I was there I picked out some of the things he had shown me and put them on layaway. Since his birthday is in 11 days I decided it was time to go pick up the big gift. Jon was with last night so being the observant person that he is, he saw me at the layaway counter and asked "what I was doing". I informed him I was picking up his gift, he was practically jumping up and down like a kid in 1st grade waiting for his present. So from that moment on all I heard was "come on, just tell me what it is or at least give me a hint, please"!!!! Then I finally told him I would make him a deal, I would let him have his gift ONLY if he promised me that he would put it all on and I could take a picture, he agreed! It was hilarious to watch his face when he opened it, he was so excited! He LOVED it!! So to explain what the whole gift was.......I got him a whole hunting outfit: jacket, pants, hat and a handwarmer and the best part to him was that it was a "scent blocker" outfit. This means that the animals that he goes hunting for will not be able to smell his scent. Seriously, how men like these gifts is way beyond me. But the main thing was that Jon loved his gift and it made his day, so enjoy the picture because I think it is really cute!

Did you know.....
I wanted to pass this information along because I found it interesting and did not know about it. Daylight savings time has been changed from April 1st to March 11. It is now going to happen 3 weeks earlier then normal from now on. I told all my employees this and only about half on them knew about it. They said it was on the news and in a few papers but me being the busy person that I am did not know this because I do not always watch the news and never read the newspaper. So I hope that I have passed along information that can be helpful but I am sure most of you already know. Have a good day!

Sick Day
Well today my little man is sick with a cold. Daddy took a sick day to stay home with him and keep him company. It seems like every month or so he gets sick, it must be a daycare thing with all the other kids running around sick. I just hate it when they are sick because there is really nothing you can do for them except medicane and holding them in the rocking chair. Trevor went to bed at 5:45pm last night and woke up at 7am this morning so I would say he is very tired. Hopefully this will not last very long and he will be back to normal in no time. All I know is that when he is sick and not feeling well it really just ruins my day!

Potty Training!
Well this weekend was another fun filled weekend of potty training! Trevor does a good job of letting us know when it is that time but other times he gets to involved with things and forgets to mention it. He does a really good job at daycare and maybe that is because all the other kids there are also learning how to go potty or it is just fun to go with other people, I am not sure. Although there is one thing that he does like a pro and that is always making sure he has some kind of reading material with him. He sure does take after his daddy when it comes to this. The funny part of it all is that he just sits there and waits and then says "ALL DONE" and we help him off. Once he gets off the toilet he always looks at me like "mommy do not forget to flush". Hopefully soon he will be 100% potty trained and no more diapers!

First time!
Well this is officially my first post for my family's blog...YEAH! People ask me all the time about my family and how our son is doing so I thought it was time to try something different such as creating a blog. Now when people ask I can just refer them to our website. Although having a blog might be a fun thing to have but as a mom it makes me nervous about who is all reading it. One of the main reasons I am doing this is for my sister-in-law Jennifer (Trevor's godmother) since she lives in Florida she does not get see him very often. This is a great way for her to see the happenings back in South Dakota. We love you Jennifer!
